I felt a little stiff when I got up but did Leslie Sansone's 4 mile Super Challenge and I feel pretty good.
The eating is going well, I hope to lose 40 more pounds over the next year. I have missed my last 2 WW meetings so I will be weighing in on Saturday.
Of course my WW card will be in the missed meeting box. I hate that they do that. First of all, I do have a life. People travel, have kids etc. I can't help but miss a meeting here and there. WW puts your card in this box and it makes you feel like a loser in some way! I pay monthly, it comes out of my checking account so as long as I am paying why put my card in the penalty box? It is just one of those things that irks me for some reason.
Aside from the above, I am a true believer in WW. As long as I am following the plan I lose weight. The problem is, I don't always follow the plan : /

This isn't going to be easy! Day 1, Week 1 C25K
I made it through half of day one! Oh my, I have to say, this isn't easy. I want to say I am terribly disappointed, but I am not. I got through 4 cycles and did a few laps of walking, 7,000 steps in all.
I will not give up. I will keep doing day one over until I complete it! It will be my own version of Ground Hog Day!
I definitely need to go get some good running shoes and I will need to make sure I get to bed earlier the nights before I run.
I will be back to post on Friday with the good, the bad and the ugly.

I want to be a runner
Specifically, I want to run a 5K. I have always dreamed of being a runner and now that I have lost over 40 pounds I think it is time to push myself beyond my comfort zone.
I have been walking with Leslie Sansone for several years. There was a time when I couldn't walk more than one mile but I am now up to doing 4-5 miles with Leslie.
One might think that this effort is not big deal but that means you don't know my story. I suffer from an autoimmune disease called Sjogren's Syndrome. I was always an exerciser but when I first got sick I couldn't do much but somehow I could eat! I gained a tremendous amount of weight and am down over 40 pounds now. This goal isn't just about fitness, this goal is about proving my illness doesn't define who I am. I will not let it!
Back to the topic. Leslie Sansone came out with a new workout that is 5 miles and has 2 minutes of boosted walking. Essentially, it is jogging! I am now rocking the jogging around my basement and I realized that my stamina has increased quite a bit. That got me thinking, what if I could keep doing this and become a runner?
I will keep you posted on my progress! Yesterday I did 4 miles. Each mile had 2 minutes of jogging in place. I don't stay in place. I run around my 1500 square foot basement as if it were a track. Total jogging time yesterday was 8 minutes. Today the total was 6 minutes. Tomorrow will be cooler so I will attempt to try the Couch to 5k program. Walk for 2 minutes, run for 90 seconds. Alternate this for 20 minutes. I am looking forward to it! : )
